As the holiday season is quickly approaching, this post has been on my mind for a while. To be honest with you, most people are clueless about what kind of resources it takes to run a blog. So I wanted to put together a gift guide of practical and novelty gift items for the blogger in your life.

So without further ado…

What do bloggers want or need?

Blog Hosting

If you have a friend or family member who has started blogging on a free platform and you want to encourage them and support their blogging dreams, there is no better gift than offering them the option to go self-hosted!

When you are just starting out there are so many options for hosting, it is really hard to choose. Bluehost is a great option when you are just starting out. SiteGround is another fantastic hosting option with very competitive pricing. If you would like to start with a more premium hosting service right out of the gate I would go with WPEngine or BigScoots.

Fun Blogging Mugs

There are days that blogging requires A LOT of coffee to get through the day, so why not get your favorite blogger a fun mug to use on those days.

When you are serious about blogging having a premium theme that allows your blog to look professional right from the start is key!

Equipment and Tools

Blogging can also require lots of equipment too. A laptop that is your own and that works. No more sharing an old laptop with your kids or your husband. Have your own laptop that you can work from everywhere and customize it however you want with the tools of the trade.

For bloggers that want to do video tutorials or for course creators.

You’ve probably heard the saying “a picture is worth a thousand words,” well, having beautiful images is a very important aspect of being a successful blogger. A membership to a stock photo service like Pixistock which has beautiful feminine stock photos would be a great gift.

A year’s subscription to a scheduling tool like Tailwind is a great practical present for a blogger. It will save time being able to schedule your content to social media. Which will allow you to have more time with your family when they need you.

KWFinder is an awesome tool for researching keywords to target on your blog.
