Whether you are a brand new blogger or if you have been blogging for a while but haven’t yet started to monetize your blog, then this course is a must.

One of the EASIEST and my favorite way to monetize a blog is through affiliate marketing.

Benefits of Affiliate Marketing

Why is affiliate marketing my favorite way of monetizing my blog? Because it is really simple to get started and doesn’t require too much effort on your part!

Affiliate products are products that are already made, which means you don’t need to spend time creating a product. All you have to do is promote it!

Getting Started with Affiliate Marketing

To get started with affiliate marketing, all you need to do is find and apply to relevant affiliate programs that you use and love, and that you think can help your readers. When you promote things that you actually love and use, you are able to easily answer questions or vouch for the product which establishes trust with your readers.

Once you apply to these affiliate programs, they will supply you with your own special affiliate links. These links include a special tracking code that is specific to you which allows them to keep track of the purchases made through your special link and provide you with a commission. These links can then be used on your blog, social media or in emails to your subscribers to promote their product(s).

Some affiliate programs even provide you with images or swipe copy that you can use to help you get started promoting their products. Which is a really nice bonus when you are first starting out in affiliate marketing.

I admit I am a bit of a course junkie, but this was one of the very first blogging course I ever bought when I first started blogging. I bought this course as a place to start to learn and understand affiliate marketing and this course is perfect for that.

Things I LOVED about this course

Michelle has done a GREAT job breaking down the lectures into short, manageable, bite-sized portions. You won’t feel overwhelmed going through this course. And if you need to go back and refresh your memory about a specific topic, it is easy to go back and find exactly what you need.

Michelle definitely knows what she is talking about when it comes to affiliate marketing! (I, mean, she should since she earns more than $100k per month!). She has done a great job explaining everything so that a newbie to blogging, as well as, a more experienced blogger, will know EXACTLY what steps need to be taken, in what order, to become a master in Affiliate Marketing.

The group is VERY active and everyone is really helpful and willing to help you out when Michelle is not available! Michelle is active in the group and often has an “Ask Anything” type of post where you can get an answer to all your burning affiliate marketing questions.

Michelle is also ALWAYS available via email too. As a course junkie, I have taken many courses where the creator is not as available to you, so when you find a course that offers such great support it is a huge bonus!

Throughout the course, she gives real examples from her own blog. So it is easy to see how to create a post that includes affiliate links and how she a specific concept on her own blog to monetize her post.

I also love that she doesn’t hide anything from you! She shows you the exact steps she took that worked for her! Often you find courses that promise to show you the exact steps or procedure to be a success at something but you get the feeling that some key step was left out of the process and you are left feeling defeated and disappointed.

Things that may not be QUITE SO LOVEABLE about the course

I am going, to be honest with you here, I had to really dig to find something not to like…

The Price

It’s not free. At the time when I bought this course, I found the price to be a little steep. I was a new blogger and had no idea that there are courses out there with a much bigger price tag! But I have also learned that you have to invest in yourself in order to really succeed and to take your blog to the next level.

Of course, there is always the option of just trying to find the answers for yourself on Google but that involves a lot of time and knowing what the right questions are that you need to ask. Having a course that answers all the questions…that you may not even know need asking…is PRICELESS! (And she does offer a payment plan where you can split the cost into two payments, which does help when money may be tight.)

The other possible con is that the course is mainly a text-based course. So if you are a visual learner and like to see things done step-by-step, this may not be the course for you. I tend to think that a text-based course is a bit of a perk since there are times when I can not watch a video but I can sit and read. So I find that this makes the course a little more flexible in that way.

My Conclusion about Making Sense Of Affiliate Marketing

Overall, I highly recommend Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing if you want to learn how to get started with affiliate marketing! This course is AWESOME if you are new to blogging or new to the idea of affiliate marketing. It really goes deep into Affiliate Marketing and it covers ALL THE THINGS you need to know in order to have success with affiliate marketing strategy.
