Purpose
The purpose of this site is to share tech tips and tricks that I have learned along the way with you, and hopefully learn some new things myself while I’m at it.
After all, we are living in an era where computer technology changes day by day and there is always something new to learn or figure out with our computers, smartphones or just browsing the internet.
I would love for this site to be a resource of real questions that I get asked on a regular basis from friends, family, people I work with and even people I help in various groups on social media. If you have a question about how to do something, chances are there are others who also would like to know too.
Background
My love for technology began back in the early 80’s, the virtual stone age of the PC era. I was in middle school and my parents brought home a Commodore 64 for the family to use. I loved that thing! I remember learning LOGO to move a turtle around the screen and just dreaming about the possibilities of what this computer could do (which was not really all that much compared to today’s computers!). I have been hooked ever since.
When I was in high school, and even in college, I enjoyed any and all computer courses that were required of me. When other girls my age were reading Cosmo and Glamour magazines, I was reading PC World and PC Magazine. Over the years, as computers have become more and more a part of our lives, I have just jumped in and figured out whatever computer task I needed to accomplish.
When I started my pet sitting business back in 2004, I learned how to create a website for my business. I was so excited to have a real reason to play with Word and Publisher so that I could create all my brochures, flyers, business cards and service agreements. When I wanted to upgrade my site and add more customizations than what was built into any of the themes that were available, I took it upon myself to learn HTML and CSS.
Who am I?
I live in Connecticut with my longtime significant other. We share our life and home with a menagerie of pets, that includes: 2 dogs, 3 cats, 6 ferrets, 5 rats, 2 bunnies, 2 sugar gliders, 2 chinchillas, 1 bearded dragons, 3 leopard geckos, and an African Grey parrot (in a pear tree!)…at the moment…

When I am not working or cleaning up after my little zoo, you may find me: napping; doing yoga, reading; surfing the web; hula-hooping; knitting; playing with my dogs; making soap; hanging out with friends; taking photographs of animals, flowers and other random things that catch my eye or researching the next exciting thing that I wanna be when I grow up!
